Another 2024 future bride + groom are on the blog today! Makenna + Trace are getting married the last weekend of October and I can just imagine the gorgeous Indiana coloring now, I think it’s going to be a good one (Fall is easily the BEST time to get married here in the Midwest 🥰). We did something a little different for their engagement session and actually decided to split it into two smaller sessions so they could take advantage of the seasons. They have an engagement session coming up this Spring as well so make sure to come back and find session #2 here on my site.

January + February have been so helpful to take in the slower time and get some much needed blogging done. I have been slowly blogging all my 2023 weddings (hopefully some 2022 ones as well) and I need to give you all sneak peeks into my 2024 couples ❤️ Gerard + Hannah are getting married this September and we had an absolutely stunning engagement session starting at their home in Bryant, Indiana and then onto another family owned property where I didn’t just get access to ALL the best backdrops BUT also got to meet the duck that resides there (photo below 🦆).

It’s time to highlight this gorgeous day ❤️ first off, here’s a big THANK YOU again to Emily + Caleb for having me, I am obsessed with their big day and just how absolutely beautiful it was. Before you browse their big wedding day, if you haven’t seen their engagement session make sure to head back one post and browse our session in downtown Berne, Indiana AND one of my favorite field locations in Adams County! Okay, let’s start with the details and make our way to their first touch, ceremony, the entire wedding party shots and then to the PARTY! I think we hit the most ideal weekend for the Fall colors here in Ohio, wait until you see the shots we took at the Maria Stein Shrine (They’re my favorite!).

You have most likely seen these two all over my social lately. Emily + Caleb were a 2023 bride & groom of mine so before I blog their GORGEOUS wedding day I wanted to highlight their equally GORGEOUS engagement session. We explored downtown Berne, Indiana together and ended up at on of my favorite field locations in Adams County! Not only did we end at my favorite location but we had a KILLER sunset that evening, I can’t wait for you to see them!! When you book a photographer and they want to shoot “Golden Hour”, this is what we all hope to get ❤️ Every sunset is unique in it’s own way, and easily my favorite time to shoot any sessions.

Have milestones during winter but don’t want to take them outside in the cold weather?? Have you ever thought about doing an in-home lifestyle session OR renting out a studio? These were all taken at Parlor Studios in Bluffton, Indiana in just 30 minutes with me ❤️ Kya contacted me to capture some updated family and 3 month photos of them with their newest addition, Kahlaine. We used mainly two scenes but the studio has MUCH more to offer! Kahlaine did AMAZING, literally not one peep out of her the entire time and we got some amazing shots. Thank you Staton family for having me capture such beautiful moments.

Another gorgeous day in the books with Samantha + Paul ❤️ If you didn’t check out their engagement, make sure you go back to the last post and look through their session at the botanical gardens in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Trust me, it’s super gorgeous and for sure worth the look! This couple was so sweet, laid back and loved to have fun (which is a major bonus for me!). Once we got them married, we headed out on the party bus to our photo location, hopped to a local brewery where we had the BEST champagne shot i’ve ever taken and then after introductions at the reception it sure turned into a party!

When it’s winter time and you just are NEEDING some color + warmth you can always find it at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Samantha + Paul were married this past June in Ohio and they made the track all the way to Fort Wayne with me to capture these gorgeous photos. We explored the “Jungle Room” which is what I like to call it and the desert room for a a brief engagement session, I think we had this done in about 30-40 minutes which was record time for me 👏. Enjoy ALL the highlights of Samantha’s GORGEOUS engagement ring because it sure is one of a kind and every time I look at these photos I just fall in love with it even more (insert drooling face)!

I promised I would have the Larson Wedding blogged tonight so here we are ❤️ Harlee + Greg celebrated this special day at The White Rose in Preble, Indiana. GORGEOUS venue, gorgeous couple, gorgeous details.. what more could a photographer want?! Harlee is near and dear to my heart and I am so happy I was able to capture all the raw moments for them. From the first look, to their personal vow reading, to their first kiss and to their first dance.. I was there for it all. One perk of the job is getting to really see all of the behind scenes.

Let’s talk about this couple ❤️ Harlee and I are co-workers at Nora Gray Boutique in Berne, Indiana and when she asked me to photograph her engagement + wedding, I was extremely excited to work with both of them. At this point, I didn’t know Greg very well but after our engagement session I knew this wedding was going to be EPIC! They took me back to The White Rose Event Center in Preble, Indiana and I CAN NOT wait for you guys to see it in my next post because it is jaw dropping. Seriously, can I just shoot all my weddings at this venue??!

The Williams wedding is here! If you haven’t checked out Ali + Kurtis's engagement in the past post..STOP.. and go check that out first 👏 These two amazing people got married this past June and their day was filled with so much laughter, PINK and love ❤️ I adored the color palette Ali chose, I feel like it gave so much life to their photos and it was a nice change to see some bright color for a change. They were married at Immaculate Conception Church and their reception followed at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Celina, Ohio and it was an absolutely STUNNING day to get married!

The state park in Bluffton, Indiana is a go to in the summer. I love the variety of options it has to offer from backdrops of woods, grass, water.. basically anything you can think of. Ali + Kurtis were married this past summer in Ohio so these were actually taken in 2022 BUT I wanted to highlight their engagement session before I blogged their wedding on here for you guys. I felt like their engagement had such a unique vibe to it from others AND they got in the water, which instantly makes me a very happy photographer. 🙂 Thank you Ali + Kurtis for being so laid back and easy to work with, you made this engagement session a total breeze. I hope 2024 treats you both very well ❤️

There are so many unseen photos in this post and honestly I could have posted about 300 more BUT for my sanity.. and yours (lol), here’s some of my favorites. One thing that stood out to me during the Busz Wedding was definitely the color palette. I don’t see that unique pink/peach color very often in dresses or flowers but let me tell you, it WORKED! Also, if you have a classic car… incorporate it. PLEASE! I adored what that classic car brought to the table and personally I felt like it elevated their entire day coming from a photographer’s perspective. Personal touches are what make your day different and people want that. Not just your photographer or videographer but it’s an experience for everyone invited including the bride & groom. Make it fun, make it unique, make it YOU! I will be the first person to tell you that it doesn’t go unnoticed. I also would like to add that we took all of these on a 6 hour schedule, that is AMAZING!
